PAR CLUB EVENT RAISES $60,000 FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
The 27th Annual Eisenhower-Evans Par Club Tournament was held at the prestigious Denver Country Club where Hal Marshall's team took home the Randall Thompson Cup for the second year in a row. But the real winners were the Eisenhower-Evans Scholars who will directly benefit from over $60,000 raised by the event. Currently, the CU Chapter in Boulder has 38 scholars who are receiving full-tuition and housing valued at $50,000. In order to thank the participants, the scholars (pictured) served as forecaddies for the day allowing them to meet their biggest fans.
"It was nice to see all of the scholars, and most importantly, every scholar thanked us for supporting their education," said Jeff Harrison, Western Golf Association Vice President of Education.
The Colorado Golf Association is one of 23 state or regional golf associations that co-sponsor with the Western Golf Association a program for sending caddies to college. Each Colorado recipient receives a full tuition scholarship and housing at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
