The CJGA Tournament Players' Point System was established to assist in the selection of the Boys and Girls Junior America's Cup Teams, to help identify the top junior players state-wide for all-star team recognition, and for exemption into certain junior championships. A player is eligible for the points listed in the Point Allocation Table only when he/she has an active and verifiable GHIN number (11-13 & 14-18 divisions) and current CJGA membership.
Events to be considered in the CJGA Tournament Players' Point System are in the following categories:
BOYS CJGA - All CJGA Junior Series events. CGA - Junior Boys' Stroke Play Qualifier(s), Junior Boys' Stroke Play Championship, Junior Boys' Match Play Qualfier(s), Junior Boys' Match Play Championship, Mens' Stroke Play Qualifier(s), Mens' Stroke Play Championship, Mens' Match Play Qualifier(s), Mens' Match Play Championship, Mens' Public Links Qualifier(s), Mens' Public Links Championship, Colorado Open Qualifier(s), Colorado Open Championship USGA - US Junior Boys' Amateur Qualfier(s), US Junior Boys' Amateur Championship, US Open Local Qualifier(s), US Open Sectional Qualifier(s), US Open Championship, US Public Links Qualifier(s), US Public Links Championship, US Amateur Qualifier(s), US Amateur Championship. OTHER EVENTS - All events listed on the Junior Points Schedule will be awarded points if they meet the criteria listed in the following information. Major national events hosted in the state of Colorado or events not listed on the points list may be added at the discretion of the CGA Youth Programs Committee.

OTHER EVENTS - All events listed on the Junior Points Schedule will be awarded points if they meet the criteria listed in the following information. Major national events hosted in the state of Colorado or events not listed on the points list may be added at the discretion of the CGA Youth Programs Committee.
It is the responsibility of the player to make the CJGA aware if they qualify for a USGA event at a qualifier held in a state outside of Colorado.
All of the events listed in the previous question will receive points. Below are the criteria for "Other Events"
Event must be conducted in accordance with the USGA Rules of Golf.
A complete set of results must be submitted to the CJGA office within one week of the event. If results are not submitted within one week, the event will be taken off of the points list and players will no longer be awarded points from that event.
All players in a given sub-division/flight must play from the same set of tees. The tees used must be indicated on the results.
On or near July 1st of the current year the CGA's Youth Programs Committee will meet to select teams for the Junior Boys' and Girls' Americas Cup Teams.
The Committee will use the CJGA Tournament Players' Point Lists as a guide to select the team while also taking into consideration the players etiquette, national rankings and any other factor deemed necessary by the committee. To be eligible players must be a member of the CJGA.
Colorado Junior Golf annually recognizes in-state junior accomplishments by naming an All-Star Team comprised of both boys and girls. Team members are selected by the CGA Youth Programs Committee and will be honored at the Colorado Golf Awards Brunch in November.
Recognition is determined from the final CJGA Tournament Players' Point Lists.
To become eligible for the CJGA Tournament of Champions a player must finish in first place in a 14-18 CJGA Tournament Players' Points Event or qualify for a USGA national championship. The following events will be considered for the CJGA Tournament of Champions:

Participation in the Denver Country Club Junior Invitational is by invitation only. Invitations will be sent out on July 15th using the CJGA point list as of July 10th. A portion of the field, from the outlying areas of Colorado, are invited through nominations from PGA Professionals in those areas. The event is for boys and girls 14-18 years old.
