CGA players may earn performance points in four categories of events: USGA qualifiers and championships, CGA championships, selected state and national events, and regular club hosted weekend events. The points system helps identify Colorado’s top male amateur players for year-end recognition, selection to the Colorado Cup Teams (Open and Senior Divisions), the Pacific Coast Amateur Team, the USGA State Team Championship, the International Team Matches in Peru, and exemptions into the Colorado Open, the Colorado Senior Open, and selected CGA Championships.
